Description

The Samura Inca utility knife is a light everyday knife for slicing and cutting jobs. Its 155 mm black zirconia ceramic blade handles fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese and sausage. The handle is made of ABS plastic with a TPR soft-touch coating.

Blade and material

The blade is made of black zirconia ceramic. SAMURA describes the Inca blades as resistant to oxidation. A ceramic blade is made for slicing and cutting rather than chopping, so use it for clean slicing strokes. Leave bones, frozen food, pineapples, hard cheese, summer sausage and dry salami to other knives. Minor chipping of the edge during the first months is normal and does not affect cutting.

The double-bevel edge is ground on both sides of the blade.

Handle and balance

The handle is made of ABS plastic with a TPR soft-touch coating. SAMURA describes Inca knives as light, with TPR-coated handles that give you a confident grip. The knife weighs 98 g and measures 303 mm overall.

Care and sharpening

Before first use, rinse the knife with hot water and wipe it dry. Cut only on wooden or plastic boards, never on glass, and wash the knife by hand with non-abrasive materials, then wipe it dry; a dishwasher is not recommended. Do not leave it in the sink for a long time, and take care not to drop it: a hard surface such as tiles or marble may chip or split the blade. Store it in a brush block or knife holder where the blade does not touch metal items, and never test sharpness with bare hands; use a piece of paper.
