The Samura TPU cutting board in red is a slim board made to look after your knives. It measures 380 × 250 mm and is just 2 mm thick. It is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), an elastic material that is kinder to a sharp edge than glass.
Material and surface
SAMURA makes these boards from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a robust material that is also used to manufacture modern health care products and products for children. On a glass board, the blade of your knife meets a hard, solid surface. On this board, the blade gently and slightly cuts into the elastic material instead. That helps protect the cutting edge from damage, whether your knife is made of steel or ceramic.
The board fits SAMURA's own knife care advice, which is to cut only on wooden or plastic boards and never on glass. The material is durable, too.

The board measures 380 × 250 mm and is 2 mm thick. Its slim profile makes the board easy to store in a drawer or cupboard. This version is red, and the board comes with a 2-year warranty.
